Athletics at South Harrison

Athletics play an important role at South Harrison. Athletics provide an opportunity for students to learn about self-discipline, sacrifice, team work, time-management, determination, winning and losing, and so much more. Student athletes proudly represent our schools to our larger community. Athletic events give our students and our community the opportunity to come together with a common purpose of supporting our athletes while simultaneously strengthening our school spirit.

We hope that you will join us in supporting our student athletes as they work to bring a sense of pride to our community and to each of our schools.

Athletic Directors

Our elementary principals serve as the athletic directors for each of their schools. For grades 7-12, however, the demands are a bit higher with regard to athletics. Thus, we have an athletic director at our junior and senior high schools.

Schedules

At the elementary level, athletic events are posted on each school's community calendar (listed below). Our junior and senior high schools also use EventLink to post practice schedules, game schedules, event results, etc.

If you need assistance in setting up your EventLink account, please contact the school's athletic director.

Drug Testing for Students

At South Harrison Community School Corporation, we take steps to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone. In addition to providing our students with information on the detrimental effects of illegal drug usage, we also take a very serious approach to student drug testing.

At South Harrison, students in grades 7-12 who wish to participate in extra-curricular activities or drive to school must sign a consent form acknowledging and agreeing to the random drug testing program.
