We found Waldo at the HWES car rider line this morning! If current HWES students and their families attend the free Literacy Night at Heth tonight from 5:30-7pm, they can find a free dinner, free book swap, meet a real author, listen to awesome guest readers, and help us cerebrate literacy! The Book Fair will be open for purchases from 5-7pm. Bring in a donation of cleaning supplies for the Harrison County Animal Shelter and you will be entered into drawings for Jay C and Dollar General gift cards!

There will be a Hunter Education Class on March 16th, 2024. The class will be held at the Floyd County Conservation Club. This is located at 3097 Georgetown Greenville Rd, Georgetown, IN 47122. Dress up days as follows: Monday-Reading is amazing and so are you! -Wear your favorite shirt/outfit Tuesday-We are wild about reading.-Wear animal print. Wednesday-Reading is relaxing. Dress in your vacation clothes. Thursday-Reading is active.-Dress in workout or sportswear. Friday-Reading gives us superpowers.-Dress like a hero.

The free HWES Literacy Night is two weeks from today! Join us in celebrating the art of reading with a free taco bar, gift card giveaways, and a book swap. Meet representatives from the Harrison County Library, SHCSC Administrators, and guest readers. The event is free for HWES students and their families! 70% student attendance will be rewarded with Principal Ferriell sitting in a dunking booth this May!

Join us for an exciting, weeklong adventure where children in grades K-6 will team up with friends for fun, hands-on STEM adventures. From designing light up game boards to creating glow box displays to building robotic laboratories on wheels and DIY toolboxes, each activity is designed to give your explorer an unforgettable summer experience. A program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Camp Invention allows children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade to experience real-world problem solving, creative thinking, invention, and teamwork while exploring connections between science, technology, engineering, and innovation. Camp Invention will be held at Corydon Intermediate School from 9:00am-3:30pm the week of June 3-7. South Harrison Community School Corporation has made it possible to register your child for this amazing experience for only $150! That is a savings of $120! Transportation will be available to and from South Central Elementary School and the Boys and Girls Club. Come out and support the Wildcats at the Boys Wildcat Classic on Saturday. Admission to the tourney is Adults $5.00, Students $1.00. all Heth Washington students can attend free. First game begins at 9:00 a.m. We will be serving donuts for breakfast. Pizza will be delivered around 10:30. Spirit wear and jerseys will be on sale.
