South Central Jr-Sr High School

Parents, We were notified there was an individual at the back door of the elementary. Immediately, we went into an interior lockdown while we located the individual. We moved to a full lockdown when we could not locate the person on campus. The Sheriff's Department was notified by our SRO and discovered the vehicle of the individual. They were picking up angel tree items from the back of the "old" school which is the community center and came here instead. Everything is clear and the students are back to their regular day. Thank you!

Ok, let's try this again. We are on block tomorrow for finals and ilearn checkpoints. We are on a 2hr. delay Monday, December 15th. Students will not travel to CCHS. Prosser is not in session. Prosser students will need to contact their instructor for assignment guidelines. Junior Prosser students may come for lunch at 11:45 or class at 12:20. Prosser seniors will attend 2nd block 10:00-11:00, then sign out after. Stay safe and stay warm!

The winter band concert will be canceled today. We are looking for a date to reschedule. Be safe out there!

Attached is our delay schedule for Wednesday, December 3rd (all grades). There will be no travel to CCHS. Prosser Juniors- No Prosser. You can come for lunch at 11:55 or 4th period at 12:25 Prosser Seniors- You will catch the bus at regular time. You will be excused from 1/2 period at South Central. Tuesday, November 11th, we will honor our Veterans with an assembly in the gymnasium. Students may bring a guest who has served, or currently serving in the military. Forms are available in the office. Guests will enter through Door 4 starting at 9:30am. Our guest speaker will begin at 9:45am.

Prosser is not in session tomorrow, 11/4. Junior Prosser students may come in at 11:20 for lunch or 11:50 for class. Senior Prosser students may sign out at 10:10. I have also attached the Prosser snow and 2 hour delay schedule.

Just a reminder that all grades were updated Friday, October 3rd. There are no report cards until the semester. Please check Harmony for grades. Contact Dr. Hinkle if you have any questions!

Picture day for grades 7-11 is tomorrow, September 17th. Senior picture day is Thursday, September 18th. Smile big!!

Herff Jones will be here Thursday (18th) to meet with all 10th graders about class rings. Order date will be the 25th from 2-5 in the front lobby.

Senior yearbook portraits will be this Thursday (18th) starting at 8am. We will call senior Prosser students first. We will provide tuxes/drapes for the picture. Herff Jones will meet with them after pictures and pass out order forms for all things graduation. Order date is the 25th from 2-5 in the front lobby.

Parent/Teacher conferences will be held Tuesday, September 23rd, 11am-6pm. Students will not attend that day. If you have a high school student and would like to meet with their teacher, please call the front office, and Mrs. Mercer will pencil you in. If you have a jr. high student, Mr. Voyles will be sending an email with a sign up link attached. Thanks!

Your school cafeteria will use ground beef from Karv during the month of Septmber! Join us for school lunch on beef nacho days and celebrate local farmers with us!

Back to School Vaccine Clinic

Prosser Students, Transportation to and from Prosser will begin August 4th. Prosser juniors will leave the South Central parking lot at 6:55am and Prosser seniors will leave the South Central parking lot at 10:05am. Juniors will return back to South Central around 11:15am and seniors return around 2:30pm. You must have transportation to and from South Central. Email Dr. Hinkle if you have any questions!
