The 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball teams had an away at Hazelwood Middle School on Wednesday.  The 7th Grade lost a tough matchup by 1 point (37-36) and never backed down from the pressure applied by the Bullpups. The Panthers had a balanced attack on the offensive end with 5 panthers in the scoring column. 11 points Hayden Smothers, 8 points Cash Coffman, 7 points Roman Schwartz, 6 points Will Bulleit, and 4 points from Charlie Coffman.

The 8th grade oys fought hard coming away with a 41-38 victory over a very talented Hazelwood team. The Panthers were able to get 6 players in the scoring column which was led by Grant Lindemann with a game high 22 points. Ben Groover added 7 points, Jojo McCarty added 5 points and 5 rebounds, Hudson Withers 3 points, Hunter Seacat 2 points and 4 rebounds, and Braylen Boyette 2 points and 3 rebounds. 

 The Panthers then continued on to county rival North Harrison.  7th Grade fought hard and showed great effort, but unfortunately came up short in the end 37-38 to the Cougars. Will Bulleit led the way for the panthers with 17 points and 4 rebounds. Other Panthers adding to the scoring contribution, Cash Coffman with 10 points and 4 rebounds, Charlie Coffman with 4 points, Tayton Teeter with 3 points, Roman Schwartz with 2 points, and Hayden Smoothers with 1 point.

     The 8th Grade Panthers got off to a slow start but we’re able to find their pace and handle the Cougars 55-31 to cap off the night. Grant Lindemann with 13 points and 4 rebounds and Braylen Boyette with 12 points and 6 rebounds led the way for the Panthers in the balanced attack. Adding to the score column as well was Mason Pedigo 8 points, Hunter Seacat and Jojo McCarty 6 points each, Trenton Friedmeyer 5 points, Hudson Withers 3 points, and Hayden Hibbs with 2 points.

     The Panthers return to action Saturday as they travel to Austin High School for First and Second round action in the Mid-Southern Conference Tournament where they will take on Charlestown in the first round. Panthers look to close out this 5 road game stretch Saturday with 4 wins before heading into next week for some much needed rest.
