Next week the students in the corporation will be taking a standardized test. NWEA MAP Growth assessments are reading and math assessments given 3 times per year in order to measure the skill development and the academic growth of your child. The tests will be taken independently on a device and each child’s test will adapt to their skill level, presenting more difficult or less difficult questions as needed while students progress through the test. Students will each get a Lexile reading level and scale scores in math and reading that indicate their skill level, the amount of growth they have shown since the previous test, and the next best steps for instruction and practice at school and at home.

Each time the students take a test, the teacher's will review the results and look for strengths and weaknesses. They will then focus on those in the classroom. When the students take the next test in December we hope that we see growth especially in the areas that were identified as weaknesses.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school or contact your teacher.
