ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (ACT WorkKeys NCRC®)
South Harrison Community Schools is excited to offer a College & Career Readiness initiative that allows senior students the opportunity to earn the industry-recognized ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (ACT WorkKeys NCRC®). The ACT NCRC is a portable, evidence-based credential that certifies the essential skills for workplace success. Employers look for it from job candidates, whether they come directly from high school or through post-secondary paths, because it is a valid predictor of job performance.
ACT WorkKeys® assessments measure foundational skills required for success in the workplace, and help measure the workplace skills that can affect job performance. Each assessment offers varying levels of difficulty. The levels build on each other, incorporating the skills assessed at the previous levels. Individuals who successfully complete the three WorkKeys Assessments—Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents—earn the WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate® a valuable credential for students and job seekers seeking to verify foundational workplace skills.
South Harrison seniors will take the WorkKeys Assessments on January 17, 2018. In preparation for the assessments, students have access to a Career Readiness Courseware called WIN that provides instruction aligned to the ACT WorkKeys® and builds student skills and confidence.
ACT WorkKeys® and WIN presentations were delivered to South Harrison seniors on November 20th & 2st. At that time, all seniors were given their WIN login information which allows them to practice at their convenience for the Jan 17th WorkKeys assessments. Students needing assistance should contact Ms. Bussabarger in the College Career Center.
