Dual Credit Program
South Harrison has collaborative relationships with outside agencies such as Ivy Tech, Indiana University Southeast, and the Prosser School of Technology. Such relationships allow a greater expanse of dual credit offerings and educational programming for South Harrison students that would not typically be possible in such a small school corporation.
What Is Dual Credit?
Dual credit offerings allow a high school student to earn both high school credit and college credit at the same time. Ivy Tech and IUS provide college credit, which is accepted by any college or university in Indiana. With over 30 courses, South Harrison has one of the most expansive dual-credit offerings in the state.
South Harrison offers these courses free of charge thanks to local grants from the Harrison County Community Foundation, allowing our families to save a great deal of money on college tuition.
South Harrison hopes to expand our dual credit offerings to offer an Associate’s Degree to its graduating seniors. Learn more about dual credits from the Indiana Department of Education.
