Safety & Security
South Harrison is committed to providing a safe, positive, productive, and nurturing educational environment for all of its students and faculty.
All eight of South Harrison’s schools have entryway security systems and procedures designed to enhance student safety, while welcoming our valued community members. Also, South Harrison has initiated a partnership with the Harrison County Sherriff’s Department and the Town of Corydon Police to provide additional security to our school campuses.
As always, we encourage parents, students, or community members to notify a school administrator or the police immediately should they have a specific concern about safety in our buildings, on our grounds, or on our school buses. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Great Lakes Equity Center Partnership
South Harrison has worked with Great Lakes Equity Center to develop a diversity plan with the goal to be respective of all students. Respect of all students includes anti-bullying and anti-harassment initiatives. The strategic plan that has been developed for the 2016-2017 school year is available here.
